Activate Players show classes are more advanced and challenge the students in every aspect of performance. 

Saturday:– Classes at North Durham Academy, Stanley, DH9 0TW

Activate Players Stage one class 9-13yrs: 11-1.30pm

Activate Players Stage two class– 14-18yrs 2-4.30pm

F.A.Q: WHAT DOES THE ACTIVATE PLAYERS CLASS INVOLVE

The Activate players classes are for students who would like to take more of an active role and thrive on the pressure of rehearsing and performing in shows. In these classes the groups will work towards large scale shows and events. We ask for full commitment in attending the classes throughout the term.  The Activate players have the opportunity to audition for the Big shows we stage at The Roxy Theatre.

The Activate Players also focus on increasing skills in Mime, Improvisation, Mask work, Scripted work and looking at character development. They work on vocal technique and vocal skill and strength as well as increasing their dance technique and stamina.

If your child would still like to take part in performances but have a more relaxed approach and less pressure then one of our Rising stars classes would be the best class to attend. Rising stars classes are for ages 8-14yrs and they run on a Wednesday or Thursday. PLEASE GET IN TOUCH FOR FURTHER INFO AND TO SIGN UP FOR A FREE TASTER CLASS

** THIS DECEMBER OUR ACTIVATE STARS WILL BE TAKING PARTS IN EVENTS WITHIN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY.

THE ACTIVATE PLAYERS GROUPS WILL PERFORM AT BEAMISH MUSEUM ON SUNDAY THE 13TH OF DECEMBER- TIMES TBC- we will also run a show preview on Saturday the 5th of December at NDA for those that can not attend the event date on the 13th of December

⭐ ACTIVATE PLAYERS SHOWCASE PREVIEW 5TH OF DECEMBER AT 3PM AT NDA- For those that can not attend the Beamish event day

⭐Sunday the 13th of December at Beamish Museum. There will be three teams performing throughout the day, Times on the psoter. We will inform the students which group they will be performing with when the term starts.

TO BOOK EVENT ENTRY TICKETS FOR BEAMISH EVENT- WE WILL SEND OUT FURTHER DETAILS ONCE THE TERM STARTS- The students who are performing will enter for FREE along with one Free parent ticket. Any other family and friends wishing to come and watch the performance at Beamish will have to buy an entry ticket, unless you already have a yearly pass.
